Every NFL team playing Sunday is required to issue a final injury report on Friday. The pair of teams playing Monday night will issue their final report Saturday. Here we review all of the fantasy-relevant players dealing with ailments and how to plan accordingly. Keep in mind that the inactive list isn't due until 90 minutes before kickoff. As you start to put the final touches on those lineups, have a fallback plan or two at the ready in the event you will be dealing with an ailing player.
Injured Monday night players
Keshawn Martin, WR, Patriots – Hamstring
While Martin is too risky to start on Monday night against the Bills, he should be monitored as one of the leading candidates to help replace Julian Edelman. In fact, Martin was even mentioned as such by Tom Brady during his weekly radio appearance on WEEI sports talk radio in Boston.
QUESTIONABLE (SUNDAY)
Matt Forte, RB, Bears – Knee
The Bears are one of the most guarded teams in the league when it comes to discussing injuries. Forte was limited Wednesday and Friday, but sat out Thursday. Even if Forte plays, Jeremy Langford has been way too hot to ride the pine again. Once Forte is active, expect something close to an even timeshare. Forte turns 30 years old next month and will be heading into free agency this offseason. The Bears need to see what they have in Langford as they plan their future.
Marshawn Lynch, RB, 49ers – Abdomen
Lynch has sat out of practice all week, although the expectation is that he will play against the 49ers. The only game this season in which Lynch has with more than 75 rushing yards this season came against the Niners. In addition to his poor play for most of the season, another big concern here is Lynch being rested in the second half should the score get out of hand. Last week, the ball went to fullback Will Tukuafu for a goal line carry and in another important short yardage spot. One has to worry just how badly Beast Mode is banged up right now.
Darren McFadden, RB, Cowboys – Groin
It looks like the Cowboys are just being extra cautious with McFadden by limiting him in practice this week. Given his extensive injury history and importance to the Dallas offense, it's the right move. DMC will be good to go this week against the Dolphins.
Alshon Jeffery, WR, Bears – Groin, Shoulder
Things are trending in the wrong direction here for Jeffery. After being limited Wednesday, he was held out both Thursday and Friday. Wide reciever Marquess Wilson and tight end Zach Miller become interesting options if Jeffery doesn't play, although the matchup against the Broncos is a tough one.
Emmanuel Sanders, WR, Broncos – Ankle, Finger
A lopsided scoreboard likely played a part, but Sanders was only on the field for 32 percent of the offensive snaps last week against the Chiefs and failed to catch a pass. He looks like a very risky WR2 for Brock Osweiler's first NFL start against the Bears.
Michael Floyd and John Brown, WRs, Cardinals
Both of the secondary wide receivers in Arizona are dealing with hamstring issues. Brown says he will play while Floyd will be a game-time decision. If both or either player can't suit up, Jaron Brown is a worthy dart throw Sunday night against the Bengals.
Vincent Jackson, WR, Buccaneers – Knee
After two days of limited practice, Jackson will be a game-time decision against the Eagles. If V-Jax is able to play, expect to see a cut into the ridiculous number of targets Mike Evans has seen in his absence.
Anquan Boldin, WR, 49ers – Hamstring
Even if Boldin is able to play after missing the last two games, it's hard to imagine him doing much with Blaine Gabbert under center on the road against an angry Seahawks defense.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Buccanners – Shoulder
Seferian-Jenkins has yet to be cleared by team doctors, but continues to practice on a limited basis all week. It appears unlikely ASJ plays this week and it's hard to imagine he gets a full workload of snaps once he finally does return.
OUT
Andrew Luck, QB, Colts – Lacerated kidney
Peyton Manning, QB, Broncos – Foot
For those considering playing Brock Osweiler against the Bears, keep in mind Chicago head coach John Fox and offensive coordinator Adam Gase know him extremely well having coached him since he was drafted.
Sam Bradford, QB, Eagles (Shoulder, Concussion)
Brian Hoyer, QB, Texans – Concussion
Carlos Hyde, RB, 49ers – Foot
Ryan Mathews, RB, Eagles – Concussion
Malcom Floyd, WR, Chargers – Shoulder
Eddie Royal, WR, Bears – Knee
DOUBTFUL
Corey Brown, WR, Panthers – Shoulder
Brown is most guaranteed to miss this week. If that's indeed the case, rookie Devin Funchess would start opposite Ted Ginn against the Washington Redskins.
PROBABLE (limited practice)
DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Texans – Knee
In an effort to keep their only legitimate offensive weapon fresh, Hopkins was held out of practice both Wednesday and Thursday before returning Friday. Reports said all week that he's feeling fine and will be ready to play against the Jets.
Dez Bryant, WR, Cowboys – Foot, Knee
Calvin Johnson, WR, Lions – Ankle
Doug Baldwin, WR, Seahawks – Toe
Antonio Gates, TE, Chargers – Knee, Hip
Coming out of San Diego's bye week, Gates was limited Wednesday and Friday, but was rested on Thursday. Even though he's been productive, Gates is a mess physically and struggling to move laterally.
PROBABLE (full practice)
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers – Shoulder
Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Jets – Thumb
Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Vikings – Shoulder
Adrian Peterson, RB, Vikings – Hamstring
Ronnie Hillman, RB, Broncos – Quadriceps
Eddie Lacy, RB, Packers – Groin
Alfred Morris, RB, Redskins – Rib
Joique Bell, RB, Lions – Shoulder
Bilal Powell, RB, Jets – Ankle
Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Cardinals – Ankle
Brandon Marshall, WR, Jets – Toe
Eric Decker, WR, Jets – Knee
James Jones, WR, Packers – Quadriceps
Leonard Hankerson, WR, Falcons – Hamstring
Following Atlanta's bye, Hankerson was limited Wednesday and Thursday prior to a full practice on Friday. His likely return cuts into tight end Jacob Tamme's sleeper value this week against the Colts.
Nate Washington, WR, Texans – Hip
Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs – Groin
