As we move into the season's second half and approach the All-Star break, it gets harder to find impact talent that hasn't already been addressed. The majority of those worthy of your roster are either minor league call-ups or those returning from injury. Gaps in the standings are becoming more pronounced and instead of adding potential balanced, well rounded players is replaced by those with strength in a particular category where points can be won.... or lost. Just like some players may re-appear on Waiver Flavor over time, inevitably players you have dropped again receive consideration.
Some great options this week for those looking to tweak their roster. A pair of huge prospects, Matt Harvey and Starling Marte, got the call and are giving every indication that they may be here to stay. The closer of the week is John Axford in the the Milwaukee revolving door bullpen. A catcher is worthy of a look due to injury and is one of a trio of Blue Jays on our radar. Finally we have a very young target (Luis Cruz) and a very old (Eric Chavez) that are already helping fantasy teams nationwide.
Plenty of hitting emerging this month to provide your team with that needed shot in the arm. We have five star prospects finally delivering and injured veterans getting healthy. As temeperatures continue to heat up across the country, balls are flying out of the park. If you need help behind the plate, in the middle, corner or outfield, we have some talent certain to improve your club.
