With the time period necessary to ensure an extra year of control now past, teams will be tapping into top minor league talent with greater frequency. Quality help awaits on the farm and we are going to take a look at the possibilities both in the field and on the mound, across each division. We begin with a look at "Who's Next" in the National League's Eastern Division.

National League East
Sean Gilmartin P- Julio Teheran earned a spot in "The Show" after a spectacular spring and Randall Delgado was shipped west as part of the Justin Upton deal. Lefthander Sean Gilmartin moves to the top of the Braves pitching prospects and hopes to continue success he enjoyed at Florida State. After an All-American junior season with the Seminoles, Gilmartin was a first-round selection in the 2011 draft. Gilmartin is 1-0 over four starts at Triple-A Gwinnett with an ERA of 2.86. Control is an issue, with eleven walks in 22 innings.
Christian Yelich OF- Yelich is a big time prospect that's going to add much needed life to a thin Marlins attack. The 6'4" Yelich was a first round selection in the 2010 draft out of high school. Yelich is currently with Jacksonville (Double-A), where he is 2-for-13 in the young campaign. Ranked the #2 prospect in the Marlins system by MLB.com (behind Jose Fernandez), Yelich became the first player in Marlins history to be named Minor League Player of the Year twice, earning the honors in both 2011 and 2012.
New York Mets-
Zach Wheeler P- If Matt Harvey wasn't enough, the Mets have another stud working towards the majors in Wheeler. The sixth pick overall in the 2009 draft, Wheeler was acquired from San Francisco in the Carlos Beltran deal. Wheeler is rated the sixth best prospect in all of baseball by MLB.com. Wheeler has five pitches, including a fastball that touches the upper 90's. Wheeler has been battling a blister and has struggled in four starts at Triple-A Las Vegas. Wheeler has been rumored as part of a package to potentially acquire Giancarlo Stanton from Miami.
John Pettibone P- With John Lannan out for anywhere from six to eight weeks, the Phils tabbed Pettibone to fill his spot in the rotation. The 6'5" righthander was a third round selection in the 2008 draft out of high school. Pettibone did little to impress in Triple-A with a 9.64 ERA over two starts at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. It is possible Pettibone could be sent down after Monday's start, so he should only be given long term consideration in National League only leagues. Keep an eye out for Adam Morgan, who is reportedly Philadelphia's choice to replace Lannan until he returns in July.
Anthony Rendon 3B- Rendon got the call over the weekend when Ryan Zimmerman landed on the disabled list. Thought by many to warrant the top overall selection in the 2011 draft, Rendon "slipped" to sixth overall. Rendon had a stories career at Rice, selected the national freshman of the year in 2009 and national player of the year as a sophomore in 2010. Rendon will get every opportunity to prove himself while Zimmerman is sidelined and may push Danny Espinosa at second base with a strong showing. Rendon was 0-4 in his first game with the Nats, but drove home a run with an RBI double in his first plate appearance at home on Monday night.
