Which guys are hot when they get to sleep in their beds and have some home cooking on the table? Conversely, which players seem to do better when they can order room service? Is there such a thing as a first or second half player or are we merely fooling ourselves because it seems logical? I'll debate that line of thought with --- myself. I'll also mention a former slugging first baseman who is coming off the DL. I'll touch on a dominating hurler from the NL East who is headed to the DL. I'll then talk about two middle relievers that are being wasted by their teams and tell you whey their clubs should get these two fellas into the starting rotation.
Well, we might as well lead with this today, right?
After a month-long absence, your Tuesday Night Top Ten column is back…with a vengeance. Ok maybe not with a vengeance, but it is back. In keeping with the tradition, I have compiled ten of the most newsworthy stories and happenings in fantasy baseball for you. Some of them contain humor. Some of them contain advice. Some of them contain useful information. But they all contain sentences, words and punctuation. Now, without further adieu, here is the Tuesday Top Ten fantasy baseball headlines for July 26, 2011.
It is the Fourth of July and I hope that all of you have enjoyed the celebrations of the day with many drinks, lots of meats on the grill, and if the weather was nice where you are, some basking in the sunshine. Fantasy baseball was still in full swing today though and there is plenty ot cover. A lot of the news has to do with starting pitching, where there are some I trust, some I don't, and some I am unsure of yet. We have a minor league prospect who is back in the majors, a zoo animal who seems to be on the road to a big second half, and a recently called up prospect who is tearing things up. If you haven't had too many drinks today, enjoy Rounding The Bases.
It is another exciting night in fantasy baseball as we wish you a happy weekend. The weather has finally started to improve up here in the Northeast and some players are starting to see things in a sunny way. A power hitter who we all questioned is answering us in emphatic fashion, and an also ran pitcher is looking like a Cy Young Award winner. A young pitcher looks impressive this night, while an Asian important disappoints again. One outfielder hits his first home run of the season, while another one just keeps piling up the hits. There is that news and a little bit more on the weekend edition of Rounding The Bases.
