After a brief hiatus, Rounding The Bases is back and ready to lead you in the second half of the season to a fantasy championship. Tonight we have a new closer that is an old closer that converted his first chance, a Cubs pitcher picks up where he left off when he got hurt, and a few pitchers are on a decent hot streak. One of the first half's best takes one on the chin to start the second half, and perhaps the most fragile man in the majors pitches well. Get ready to make that move in your league to collect a championship each night here on Fantasy Alarm.com!
Well guess we can say, with little surprise, that the rapture didn't start today, and it doesn't appear that the end of the world is upon us. Isn't the world supposed to end in 2012? When was the end pushed up? I guess I missed that meeting. However, since the end is not upon us, it is time to put the focus back on your fantasy team. We have a fantasy ace going to the Disabled List, while one in Philly shuts down the Rangers and another shuts out the Athletics. One of my preseason favorites at third base is heating up, while one I didn't believe in earlier has completely made me change my mind. There is more news on hitters and pitchers, closers and starters and so much more in this edition of Rounding The Bases.
Baseball season is back in full swing, and unfortunately the injury bug continues to bite some of the games best young players. There is word of a lasting injury in Tampa Bay, while the one in Pittsburgh appears to be no big deal. Miguel Cabrera was seeing double at Yankee Stadium, and I don't mean he was at Foley's, and one of the game's best closers was back on the mound. There's more news around the Majors as well as we roll into the first full week of the season. Most importantly, don't forget to sign up for the Fantasy Alarm service to have these updates sent directly to your inbox or cell phone so you know that guys on your team are in or out of the lineup every day.
