Well guess we can say, with little surprise, that the rapture didn't start today, and it doesn't appear that the end of the world is upon us. Isn't the world supposed to end in 2012? When was the end pushed up? I guess I missed that meeting. However, since the end is not upon us, it is time to put the focus back on your fantasy team. We have a fantasy ace going to the Disabled List, while one in Philly shuts down the Rangers and another shuts out the Athletics. One of my preseason favorites at third base is heating up, while one I didn't believe in earlier has completely made me change my mind. There is more news on hitters and pitchers, closers and starters and so much more in this edition of Rounding The Bases.
It is a long week in fantasy baseball this week as every team is playing the full seven games, and this is one of the first days I can think of in a while where we haven't had a rainout. As usual there is a ton of injury news, as another of the New York Mets is looking at a stint on the DL, as well as much more. The king of fantasy baseball shifted to the other side of the diamond on defense tonight, and a Royals pitcher got absolutely crushed tonight. There were a lot of pitchers issuing walks tonight, and a new closer made it look easy on this night. As the injuries and rainouts continue to mount, it is increasingly obvious that you need to sign up for the Fantasy Alarm service so you don't miss out on the important lineup news for the guys on your team.
It was another interesting day in the world of fantasy baseball, and we cover it all like a glove. A once struggling slugger continues to absolutely roll, while an under the radar starting pitcher is doing everything he can to get on your radar. There is news on a closer change in the midwest, as well as a starter in Atlanta that is on a total roll. But perhaps the biggest news of the night is a catching legend in the Bronx who refused to play after being dropped in the lineup. If you want to win your fantasy baseball league you need Fantasy Alarm and all of the content we provide, feel free to check out it all.
There was not a lot of offense around the major leagues today so this version of Rounding The Bases is going to be all about the pitchers. Well, we will discuss two position players, but other than that it is all about the pitchers. We have a couple of bullpens with major questions in them and a lot of starting pitching. We have guys who are on incredible rolls, and others who were just disastrous. But whether they were good or bad, we will tell you what to expect from them in the future and what you should do with them.
