Down the stretch we come! Only two and a half weeks left in the fantasy baseball season and finally the news is starting to slow down. However, at the end of the season we get some new, fresh blood out of the minor leagues and we get two exciting kids on mounds in Tampa Bay and Colorado. Unfortunately, I have to tell you that one of them will be pitching out of the bullpen. We also have news on two returning stars here to finish the season out, and some not so good injury news out of Bean Town. I give you one guy that I was wrong about this season and a few other nuggets in tonight's Rounding The Bases.
As always a very special thank you to Michael Stein of Fantasy Judgment for pinch hitting for me on Tuesday with his Top Ten Headlines, please be sure to check out his site as well. This is my first August article, and the best thing about baseball and fantasy baseball is that the news never stops no matter what part of the season you are in. Tonight's article is headed by two third basemen, one who might be getting himself in some hot water, and another who had his first hot night of the season. There is injury news as always, one good, one not as good with two guys with a very bright fantasy future. And of course there is some talk of two young prospects recently called to the majors, and not only how they are faring right now, but what you might expect from them going forward. It is time for you to finish up your Hump Day with Rounding The Bases.
Happy Friday everyone as we are in the dead center of both the NFL free agency and closing in on the Major League Baseball trading deadline, it has never been more fun to be a fan of team sports here in America, and we have you covered like a blanket here at Fantasy Alarm. The fantasy baseball news comes in fast and furious as another superstar player that no one pays attention to was dealt to a World Series contender, a pitcher that no one should believe in finally came off the DL, and one that perhaps we forgot about is trying to get back into the fantasy player's mind. A first baseman in Kansas City is red hot, as is a second baseman in Atlanta that many wrote off. I know you are all enjoying your weekend, but take a few minutes out to enjoy Rounding The Bases.
Another week is in the books in the 2011 fantasy baseball season, and the news just never stops. The heat might have finally broken here in the Northeast, but divisional races are still heating up, and likely so are the standings in your fantasy leagues. We have news about an injured Mets' star that actually is ending in good news, a pitcher in the Bronx who spun a good tale today, and a closer in Philly who is looking good for now. We have news on a number of prospects, some good, some not so good, and some doing some things for the first time. Finally, we have news on an old train who seems to have finally found a destination spot, and that could be on your fantasy teams as we roll in tonight's version of Rounding The Bases.
It is the final day before the All-Star break and that means that the news is hot and heavier than ever. We have the American League Cy Young winner for the first half shows exactly why he deserves that award. A prospect that didn't have all the hype in the world continues to show why he is worth having on your fantasy team, while a guy that we had pegged in the beginning of the season continues to show his wares. One of fantasy baseball's best will go under the knife, while another Pirates pitcher shows why you need to have faith in the group. It isn't too late to invest in the Fantasy Alarm service, now more than ever you need to know when your stars will be in or out of their team's lineups.
