Heading into the weekend, we have quite a few streaming options. Not all are worthy of consideration, depending on where the game is taking place or the opponent. The 20 starting pitchers listed below represent my best bets this week.

Felix Doubront BOS vs LAA Tommy Hanson
Jordan Lyles HOU @ KC James Shields
Esmil Rogers TOR vs TEX Nick Tepesch
Nick Tepesch TEX @ TOR Esmil Rogers
Since his start against the Twins on May 8th, Doubront has been very good, giving up 2 or fewer earned runs in his last four starts. That and his strikeouts make him a nice streaming option for Friday. Just like Doubront, Lyles has been very effective at limiting runs in his last 4 starts. Not as good a source of Ks, but he's been pitching like an ace for the Astros. Rogers gets another spot start, and has been pitching well out of the pen as well as in a limited starting role. He is putting forth a 3:1 K/BB ratio and hasn't allowed an earned run over 10.2 IP. Following a trend, Tepesch has allowed 2 or less earned runs over his last 4 appearance. Plus, he can occasionally miss a bunch of bats, but is more likely to induce ground ball outs.

Erik Bedard HOU @ KC Ervin Santana
Tyler Lyons StL @ CIN Mat Latos
Rick Porcello DET vs CLE Justin Masterson
Bedard has been dealing since his second start in May, allowing 2 or fewer runs in 6 straight games. He doesn't collect the Ks that he did not so long ago, and he pitches on a terrible team, but results are results, and we as fantasy owners would be crazy not to take advantage while this guy is hot. Lyons had a regression in his last outing, giving up 4 earned runs to the Giants. Even so, I still believe in Cardinal pitchers and the first two outings for Lyons were fantastic, so I would take a chance that he rebounds in his Saturday start, though I am not fond of the match up or the park. Porcello continues to develop as a first class SP option, even racking up Ks at rates we've never seen before. His fine pitching is keeping Smyly in the pen, much to my chagrin since I banked on their roles being reversed this season. Porcello is the only Tiger SP owned in less than half of most fantasy leagues, so grab him now and use his for this start, and then keep him around for the long haul.

Joe Blanton LAA @ BOS Ryan Dempster
Sam Deduno MIN @ WAS Jordan Zimmrmann
Hector Santiago CHW vs OAK A.J. Griffin
I am not a big fan of Blanton in general, but it is hard for me not to recommend him with the way he's been pitching the last three outings. I do not see him racking up double digit Ks except against the Astros, but a handful of strikeouts and good peripherals are nothing to sneeze at. Deduno has been a nice fill in for the Twins, at least in his past two starts after getting lit up initially by the Tigers. It could be a situation where he got lucky, but the early reports were that he had the stuff to succeed and it looks to be the case. Santiago resumes a starting role in Chicago with Peavy on the DL, and I would expect him to carry on with the good results he posted earlier this season. The 2:1 K/BB ratio is nice, too.
