Two of the most highly regarded prospects in the American League and perhaps all of Major League Baseball got the call this week. The Texas Rangers brought up sensational middle infielder Jurickson Profar, while the Baltimore Orioles handed the ball to former LSU All-American Kevin Guisman. The Tampa Bay Rays looked to lessen the loss of the injured David Price by tabbing Jake Odorizzi, acquired from Kansas City in the offseason in the James Shields deal. More quality help awaits on the farm and we continue to take a look at the possibilities both in the field and on the mound, across each division. We continue with a look at "Who's Next", with the American League's Western Division.
If you're like me, you are already tired of looking at the same guys available on waivers across every league. Time for the stud prospects to start making their way up to "The Show"! Many of us have a limited Minor League roster as part of our fantasy teams, but most of the talent we will see come across our lineups this season weren't taken in the two or three rounds that were filled following every one's draft or auction. Each week we will profile who is "next", either on the verge of getting the call or those to track now so you will be ready when the time comes.
