The Anthony Rizzo watch is now over..... at least for now. Chase Utley is back and Ryan Howard can't be far behind. We have ten hitters for your review in this week's Farm Report. With the exception of super-prospect Brett Jackson, all have spent time in the majors this season. Several on our list are rehabbing injury and others may be headed toward the dreaded AAAA classification.
Just four weeks in to the season and already major league clubs are scouring their affiliates for help. This past week saw the games two biggest prospects in Bryce Harper and Mike Trout called up to the big leagues. This week I take a look at the recent recalls and discuss whether they are up for good or just a short term fix. We’ll also take a look at some of the best remaining prospects and see how they are doing down on the farm. It seems like Major League teams were being ultra exclusive this spring. So many worthy prospects were left off of big league rosters it makes you wonder whether teams are thinking with their mind or their pocketbook.
