As we pass the one-third mark of the season and quickly ride towards July and the All-Star break, who are the minor league players that will soon be on your radar? We have seen some elite talent get the call, some directly from Double-A, skipping Triple-A altogether! Much of fantasy baseball and fantasy sports in general is anticipating moves in advance of your competition. With that in mind, the second of our four part series looking at Triple-A players with fantasy appeal in 2013. We continue with American League pitchers.
Another week without a "huge" prospect call up, but we did get some players that may contribute. On the pitching side, St.Louis brought up John Gast, the Yankees called on one time elite prospect Dellin Betances and Tampa bypassed (for now) a pair of stud starting pitching prospects for Alex Torres. As for hitting, Detroit is giving power hitting Avisail Garcia a look, while the Yankees tabbed David Adams as the Chris Nelson experiment was short lived. More quality help awaits on the farm and we continue to take a look at the possibilities both in the field and on the mound, across each division. We continue with a look at "Who's Next", with the American League's Central Division.
