Another week, another Thursday night snoozer. What’s the deal with this? I suppose the schedule-makers had no idea that Cam Newton was going to be a disappointment through the first half of the season or that Doug Martin was going to go down with a torn labrum in his shoulder or that Josh Freeman was going to stink it up so badly that even Tampa Bay didn’t want him, but man, these games have not been kind to the casual fan watching and they certainly haven’t been kind to the fantasy football world either. In fact, I’ve had people emailing me in search of a suggested replacement for their guy who does play in a Thursday night game. It’s apparently gotten that bad.
Week 3 is going to be remembered more for who didn’t do what rather than who actually showed up this week. There were so many disappointments this week from Marshawn Lynch ruining the greatest of matchups to the entire Giants offense soaking the bed with diarrhea. Then of course it just wouldn’t have been a Sunday of Football without several notable RB’s going down with injuries. While we wait on more news from C.J. Spiller, Daryl Richardson, James Starks and Chris Ivory let’s sit back and review everything that happened in Week 3.
What happened in Week 3 of the NFL season? That's what we'll discuss in this article. We won't touch on Thursday Night Football in this piece. That's so yesterday. We also won't touch on Sunday Night Football because we wanted to get this info out to you as soon as we could and that meant we posted this before the game was complete. What we will touch on are some of the best and brightest of Week 3 as well as those that failed to live up to expectations. There were plenty of guys who crapped out and cost fantasy owners big time.
