Just look at that handsome motherf'r in that picture there. Don't you just love it? Beautiful smile full of gold teeth, seems like he's on top of the world.......WHILE HE IS SLAUGHTERING FANTASY TEAMS ACROSS THE COUNTRY! Don't get me started! More about him later on. But as we get closer to the greatest day of the week, Sunday Funday, there is plenty of news to go over. We have a little bit of good news in the Big Apple, a reason to watch Porky's again this week, and I give you news on a couple of the softest players in the NFL. You can also find the latest on how the Madden Curse is affecting Peyton Hillis among other things. We are past the halfway point in this fantasy season, so every single matchup is a maker or breaker now, so you have no reason to go anywhere, but right here!

It might not be time to freak out about Ahmad Bradshaw just yet! The Giants' lead runner was diagnosed with a cracked bone in his foot earlier in the week and the news was initally that he would miss weeks as fantasy players ran to the wire to pick up Danny Ware. Now we aren't sure what is going to happen with Bradshaw as there are some reports that he could have surgery on the foot, while others say he could play this weekend. Bradshaw has played with a similar injury before, so I wouldn't be shocked to see him out there against the Patriots. I wouldn't start him this week, but let's not go all hasty and write him off either. Definitely stay tuned for more on this one as it unfolds, keep it here at Fantasy Alarm.
Even though this isn't the 1970s anymore, the question on fantasy players' minds is can I pick up some Bush? This week that would be Michael Bush, (what did you think I meant, you perverts?) as it appears less and less likely that Darren McFadden will be able to give it a go against the Broncos. Now Bush isn't a world-class running back, but the guy has filled in more than admirably in the past when McFadden has been hurt, so if you have any need at running back, or even if you want to be a jerkoff and block someone else in your league from getting him, Bush is a must add this week to your roster. Given the history of McFadden and injury, this could be more than a one week thing.
From the "Hey, Grow A Pair And Get Out There" Department, Ryan Mathews was not at practice for the second straight day for the Chargers with his lingering hamstring injury that he suffered in overtime against the Kansas City Chiefs. Right now it seems that Mathews will not be on the field this weekend when the Chargers host the undefeated Green Bay Packers. Hey Ryan, way to come through for your team there buddy! Can you please show some sort of heart and actually play hurt for once????? His replacement Curtis Brinkley also missed practice with the concussion he sustained, but Mike Tolbert looks like he will be out there and should carry the load for the Bolts.
Breathe Wes Welker owners, please breathe. The Patriots star wide receiver returned to practice on a limited basis on Thursday, one day after missing practice with a neck injury. As usual, the Patriots aren't being forthcoming with news about the injury, but sources near the team have called this "not serious" and I think fantasy owners should consider Welker ready to go for this Sunday's game against New York.
Andre Johnson missed another practice on Thursday, and I have to say that it seems more and more likely that he isn't going to play AGAIN for Houston in Week 9. Remember when there was a chance that he might play in Week 7? Do you also remember that when this injury happened that Jeff and I both told you that this was going to be worse than the Texans were letting on? They can call this a hamstring injury all they want, but his knee buckled without contact, and immediately you knew it was bad. I don't expect Johnson to play this Sunday, and wouldn't be surprised at all if it was Thanksgiving when he finally suited up again.
Peyton Hillis returned to practice and it will be very interesting to see how the Browns use him this coming week as they move forward without Montario Hardesty. I never thought the Browns would give Hillis another chance to see any meaningful action this season, but now that they are down to Chris Ogbonnaya and Thomas Clayton, they might be forced to give The Gun Show a more prominent role. If you have him, he probably isn't a bad flex start against the Houston Texans and their less than stellar defense, but just don't expect huge numbers out of Hillis and you won't be disappointed.
Chris Johnson Owners' Suicide Watch continues! CJ.25YPC will go against one of the surprisingly tougher defenses this week in the Cincinnati Bengals. Johnson has remained positive and says he is going to rebound from this rough start, adding "it could turn around on any play." Yeah Chris, thanks for that. You are absolutely TANKING two of my fantasy teams, ya bastard! How is it going to turn around when Javon Ringer is playing most of the second half! Are you kidding me?!?!?!?!?!? Let's face it folks, we aren't dealing with the sharpest knife in the drawer here anyway. I have a really, really hard time starting Johnson this week considering how little he played down the stretch last week, and the fact that the Bengals are tough against the run as well.
Tonight I will end with the OBLIGATORY TIM TEBOW COMMENT!!!!!! Never has a player who has done so little garnered so much attention, and we at Fantasy Alarm are no different. We know that you are looking for a little bit of Tebow in your life, a little bit of Erica by my side. A little bit of Rita is all I need......sorry, whew! I'm back. The Broncos are trying to put Tebow in better situations to succeed on a week to week basis. They are trying to call plays that call for him to make a few quick reads, throw shorter passes, and get rid of the ball instead of taking sacks. This is a guy who totally plays on instinct, so it will be difficult to try to make him something he is not, but I still think he is a quality FANTASY quarterback. I do have him in one league, and he will be starting for me this week against the Houston Texans. I really don't see what the Broncos hope to gain if they take this job from him and give it back to Kyle Orton, or try Brady Quinn.
